In a multiple deck game a shoe is used. This is a box that holds two to eight decks of cards and some are even being continuously shuffled to make it even more challenging for card counters. These cards are dealt from the box and are never touched. You are not allowed to pick these cards up they are dealt face up.

Whether your cards are dealt from the dealer hands or from the box the object of the game is still the same. You want to get as close to 21 without going over. In this game unlike other games you are playing against the dealer. He deals himself cards too. He will deal to the players first and then to himself. If you go over 21 than you “bust” which means you will automatically lose. If you do not go over twenty one then the goal is to get as close to twenty one as possible. You want to have a higher hand than the dealer. Who ever has the highest hand with out busting is the winner. If the dealer bust and you have not then you automatically win.

What's your cards are worth? To get to twenty one the cards must have a numerical value. Cards 2 through 10 are worth the face value. Kings, Queens and Jacks are all worth 10 and aces are worth either 11 or 1. This is your ace in the whole. I can easily prevent you from busting by changing it's value. It is like the joker card of casino blackjack.

To place abet you must place your chips in front of you in the betting circle. Once all bets have been placed than the game begins. You will be dealt two cards. From there you will have to take your turn as the dealer gets to you and tell him you will either “hit” or “stay”. If you are saying you need more cards to get to twenty-one and to stay means that you do not want anymore cards. The dealer will deal to himself once all the players have finished.

Casino Blackjack is a good beginners game. It is one that most have played before even if it is their first time betting.
